Tentative Agreement Reached
On October 16, 2026 UWOFA and the Employer reached a tentative agreement. The Parties met twenty-three times since early June.
Throughout this round, our priorities have included advancing job security for contract faculty, ensuring equitable and reasonable workload, achieving fair compensation, improving benefits, installing guardrails around use of generative artificial intelligence technologies, and placing teaching work at Western International College under the terms of the collective agreement.
A Faculty Bargaining Unit meeting will be held virtually on Monday October 26. Details have been shared directly with Members via the UWOFA Weekly.
