About Roxanne

Roxanne is a teaching and learning librarian in Western Libraries. She came to Western in 2009 after working for three years at the Ontario Securities Commission as an intelligence analyst. She holds a BA from Mount Allison University, a BEd from the University of Toronto (OISE) and a MLIS from the University of Western Ontario.

Roxanne has a keen professional interest in supporting the continuous improvement of academic practices at Western while supporting the growth of information literacy at the institution. Above all, she sees herself as an educator whose responsive approach aims to build relevance for the individuals and groups she works with.

Currently she teaches graduate and undergraduate students information literacy in both face-to-face and online learning environments within the Business School as well as a number of programs within the Health Sciences. Her current research interests are related to the evolving role of librarians in support of research and teaching in higher education.

This is Roxanne's first year being a member of UWOFA and she very much looks forward to learning, contributing and being a part of such an important aspect of faculty, librarians' and archivists' lives at Western.
